I love being a graphic designer because...I get to be an artist and storyteller as well as a detective, psychologist, catalyst, and troubleshooter. I enjoy helping clients achieve their business, marketing, and sales objectives through innovative, yet grounded results-oriented design.
Having worked both long-term in-house and as a successful design studio owner...I am well-established in both print and digital, having a broad and high profile client base in entertainment, corporate, education, and nonprofit.
A few unique talents I bring to the game are...a collaborative spirit joined with the ability to really listen, enabling me to distill clients’ goals, respond to and visually translate their creative voice and vision, and deliver an authentic and effective final product.
Some of my favorite design accomplishments include...designing the branding for the award-winning Kona Natural Soap Company; creating Patrons, a quarterly magazine for Torrance Memorial Hospital highlighting major gift fundraising; developing marketing materials supporting urban forestry projects for TreePeople; and producing product development guides, packaging, and branding for Walt Disney Consumer Products.
In those precious moments when I’m not glued to my Mac, I most enjoy...crafting beaded jewelry, pretending to garden, laughing at sketch comedy, concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, relaxed entertaining, and losing myself in the latest New Yorker or a juicy English TV drama.
